Meet Jimmy

When you ask Jimmy when the shop was established, he jokes by saying the day he was born. He truly feels this is what he was meant to do! Jimmy and his wife have built a shop that not only works around their customers but their family as well.

Growing up in Merrimac, MA he developed an incredible work ethic by working with his dad in the family’s sign business. Although it is a different industry much of the skills used in building cars, he learned building and servicing signs. But probably the most important skill is the skill of hard work! He has taken this and built a shop he can be proud of and made some great friends along the way. You can still find Jimmy and his dad talking cars. As a matter of fact, the ‘49 Ford is a project for his Dad.

Jimmy and Heather moved to NC about 13 years ago, to be closer to his wife’s family and began working in the Nascar Industry. Working with teams such as Hendrick Motorsports, Dale Earnhardt Inc, Roush Racing and Richard Childress was an incredible experience. But Jimmy never lost sight of what his true love was….building street rods and muscle cars. They initially opened a small shop that quickly grew and lead to their new 6000+ sq ft building built in 2005 just 50ft off the back of their home. Jimmy finally got the garage any man would dream of!

This shop is something that works well not only for his customers but for the family as well. His wife is now able to work in the office and keep things moving smoothly and the kids get to be home rather than at daycare. This has been a true blessing for the family! Nothing like having lunch with your kids everyday!

In their spare time you can typically find Jimmy and the family camping. Or Jimmy may be working on the infamous “honey do list”. If not completing projects or camping, Jimmy and his oldest son Justin can be found at the local cars shows.
